This 12 month outpatient and aftercare recovery programme is unique to Recovery Direct.
Once the substance abuse pattern is broken, addiction sufferers are assisted in developing healthy behaviours to sustain a productive lifestyle completely free of substance abuse.
The coaching programme is based on an appreciative approach. This complements the clinical phase of recovery. Instead focusing on what is broken and needs fixing, the coach and client revitalise existing strengths and resources which enable healthy living and productivity.
The focus of the Life Coaching section of the Recovery Direct 12 month programme is on contributing to the sustained positive productivity of individuals in recovery.
Session 1: Setting a working contract and outlining the work
Providing insight into how the coaching programme works.
Designing and detailing the coaching relationship. Committing to roles, responsibilities and the programme structure. Working in-depth with what will make the work a success.
Setting short and long-term goals with clients.
Session 2: Inquiring into exceptionally positive moments
Engaging with the client’s strengths, positive energy, healthy self, their empowering dreams and aspirations
Reframing shortfalls and fears into positively-stated, forward-moving and realistic outcomes
Session 3: Creating images of a preferred future; creating a word image
Sessions 4-5: Destiny/delivery: innovating and improvising ways to create that future moving forward
Session 6: Coaching process review
